Plan the connection from the rack to the device

The cable route, device location and rack connections should be considered together. Share floor plans, outlet counts, ceiling access and the equipment that each connection will support so the installation can be scoped accurately. Required testing and documentation should be specified before the work is scheduled.

Typical assignments include office changes, new camera or access point locations, equipment refreshes and rack improvements. Cabling can be coordinated with network installation, commercial AV or surveillance infrastructure work to keep the physical scope aligned.

Does every cabling assignment include certification testing?

Testing requirements are agreed for each project. Specify any required test standard, certification reports and labeling format when requesting a quote so the necessary equipment and deliverables can be confirmed.
